This book was such a delightful read and I really enjoyed ALL the characters. I am an avid reader and this author took me by surprise! Not only was I immediately invested in the storyline, but it made me want to know MORE about these characters and IF they were based on any real life experiences. Bottom line is... this author has created characters that anyone can relate to... looking forward to his next book! NICE Mr. Williams!!!

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. The author did a great job bringing his characters to life and keeping the readers attention. This book will keep your interest during the whole time you are reading it. I couldn't put the book down as I wanted to know more of what was going to happen and how I thought the story would end. With some of the characters, I could see a few people I know that are similar to them or just like them. If you are looking for a good book for entertainment this is the book for you!! The author John R. Williams is very talented and I am looking forward to seeing what he will write next..... I hope it is the sequel to this book.

First I am going to say I am not a great speller so if some words are misspelled I do apologize. Now for the review of this book. AWESOME is one of the words that comes to mind. I am not a big reader but from the moment i picked up this book i could not put it down. I am a slow reader so it took me four days, but that didn't matter to me during the 4 days I related more to the reality of the characters than most fictional characters that I have read. From the first chapter i told everyone that they need to read this it was exquisite. The minute I finished it I told everyone I new that they needed to buy this book exspecially if you like romance and craze all in the same sense. This gives you a little of everything, Romance, Love, alot of psycho and even just a little bit of the past intrigue of that first crush and the mama's boy. Made me do alot of thinking of what I have and what I have lost over the years due to bad relationships. By the end of the book I had hope that there is a chance of true happiness after all the bad and crazed relationships. All I can say is don't judge a book by what someone else has to say about it, the best way to truly judge a book is to buy it or borrow it from someone you know who may own it and read it for yourself. Then and only then you will see what a true artist this man is both in writing and in person as when i met him at the book signing he was real and that is what I like most about the book. Great JOB John I cant wait for a sequal

Keep Doing Your Thing Mr. Williams

First and foremost I'd like to say job well done by the author. I recommend this book to all readers and authors alike. I've read the comment posted on June the 11th. And I encourage all who read it to just simply ignore it. First of all the person can't even spell so how could they read the book to grasp it. Second the person seems too eager to give a bad review after claiming they hated giving bad reviews. As an author I ask you to try and put your self in our shoes before you speak. And I dare anyone to try to top my man John's book. I'm an author and I can't top it. John R. Williams is not only a terrific author but he is also a great man. Keep your eyes on this guy. I expect many great works of literature for years to come. Keep doing your thing Mr. Williams. Author/Publisher

Sean Jiles was able to excel in high school and used his abilities and gifts to take him to the next level. His dream to write and direct plays became a reality as he pursued his college career in Texas and accomplished his goals. Author John R. Williams takes readers back to where it all began in The Reunion.

Sean met Eva while he was in college and they connected right away, entering into a committed relationship. While Eva made plans to go from “I” to “we,” Sean was waiting for her to be more than just crazy sex and become the woman in his life who would support his dreams. However, with Sean’s ten-year high school reunion drawing near, Eva had no other plans than to make him hers forever. Sean, on the other hand, began to reminisce about what and who he left behind in Chicago.

Looking forward to catching up with old friends, Sean made hotel and car rental reservations, confirming everything before he left home. But not before having a heated argument with Eva and breaking off their relationship. Believing he was leaving Eva and their drama behind him, Sean could not wait to hit the airwaves taking him to Chicago and the reunion weekend that was sure to be the event of a lifetime; especially if Jade was also attending the reunion.

Eva was not taking the break-up lying down; she had connections and was soon on a plane to Chicago with her own plans of vengeance to re-claim what was hers or to make sure no one else would have him.

As explosive as Sean and Eva’s relationship had been, what kind of trouble could she cause for Sean in Chicago, and would she get away with her antics? Will Sean catch up with Jade and reignite what they shared in high school?

I enjoyed reading The Reunion because I was taken aback by Eva’s crazy antics and the lengths she would go to have her way and get what she wanted. I recommend this book to those who love drama in relationships.

John, I must say.....

I am really really impressed. I always knew that you had the ability to capture ones attention with your quick wit and comical antics. But never in a million years did I foresee John Williams giving me the opportunity to open my eyes to life's array of challenges, happiness, and sorrow. John, as you may already know by me being an Visual Artistic Genius I find it very difficult to read books in its entirety. My attention span is fairly short and it's hard for me to find time to read anything.

Your book was absolutely amazing. I loved that I was able to take my friend John the Author out of it and see the character, Brooklyn. At the end when Brooklyn was revealed as John it was like meeting a new character just when I thought I had everything figured out. Your passion and artistic expression in this book is what carried me through it. The way you cooked up words and arranged them was like.......there's no comparison. I loved every chapter. My favorite was the story of Bree.

The childhood love expressed between these two children was very emotional for me. To find out that her father molested her was jaw dropping, not expected at all and made me cry. I actually cried while reading a book. As for the La Viva Suki, I wanted to know what could have beenif he stayed in Vegas and how did he deal with the aftermath. John I tip my 6" heel to you and your God given talent. You are definitely a positive force and I am so very proud of you for not giving up. As a fellow passionate Entrepreneur I thank you for that nudge of encouragement. Throughout my reading I kept imagining this as a movie. Mekhi Phiefer is Brooklyn, JLo is Vanessa, etc. Keep the work coming.

Author, John R. Williams writing style in this novel is best described as cogitative, well written and creative.

In the novel, “What Could have Been, The Saint, The Sinner, and The Attempt,” the author entices the reader with the sexual escapades of the protagonist, Mr. Brooklyn Price; a tall, chiseled physique, jaunty, sexy whip appeal type of man.  Due to his impetuous choices and reasoning, Brooklyn develops a perverted perception of women.    Beginning from his childhood, Brooklyn introduces the readers to the women in his life and their sexual encounters.  A few of the women are:  Madison, just nasty; Isabella, beautifully mysterious; Thursday, a church girl and Suki, the Vegas escort Madame’. Did Brooklyn find LOVE among these women?  Did Brooklyn’s attempt at LOVE fail thus leaving him a victim of women’s powerful sexual lures?  Mr. Sexy (Brooklyn) may have acted as a sinner seeking to gratify his sexual desires or was his sexual escapades a bachelor’s nightly dreams of What Could Have Been. Perhaps - it’s all pure deception. The author’s wit is demonstrated chapter by chapter with a skillful woven storyline of grimey females, sex, lies, deception laced with compassion, unconditional love and humor mingled cleverly into a heartfelt glorious conclusion. This is the first novel I’ve ready by Author, John R. Williams and he has made my authors list.

My novel:

What Could Have Been? The Saint, The Sinner and The Attempt

was recently featured in the 4th Quarterly ASA (Authors Supporting Authors)  newsletter and it was named as one of (3) "Hot Summer Reads"

What Could Have Been is a wonderfully told story by Author John R. Williams. The author's use of words and imagery leaves the reader feeling as if he or she is living within the scenes he creates chapter after chapter. I felt as if I were in Chicago, New York, Vegas, and the various places the author takes you to with his descriptive writing.

I saw things through Brooklyn's eyes. Brooklyn is described as a man who is simple yet complex. You meet him and travel with him through various points in his life-his first innocent love(s) initially and then various sexual encounters with women who are described as being absolutely beautiful though flawed in some way. After these encounters Brooklyn's always left wondering, What Could Have Been?

The final chapter in this book is entitled The Awakening, and until you read it there are few words to describe it short of enlightening. John, thanks for taking me to that place where love is still so powerful. I recommend this story to those who believe in the power of true love and those who need to be introduced to or reminded of that place where love still exists.

A Gift From God!
That’s what it is John…

Your work is extremely inspiring! You take words and make them DANCE! Boy you are off the chain with your talent! John, you use words that the everyday person wouldn’t think to use. Your words leap off the page to an avid reader as myself and just SPARKLE!

Your characters come alive. The phrases you use to describe them put me at the same place and time as they are. I get so engrossed in each character that I have to bring myself back to reality to realize that I can’t go and beat somebody down or have to stop thinking, “wow the way the men are described...all I can say is WHOA!” lol

Being from the Chicago, some of your words sometimes take me back to the good ol’ days…terms like “Freshie and Pom-Pom team” are unforgettable now because of you. I haven’t heard that words since the days I lived in the city.

Continue writing John, God has allowed you to go through trials and tribulations and have brought you out on top for this very reason. You are gifted by HIM. Use this phenomenal talent to uplift your readers and your soon to be audience. I truly believe that if you continue in your writing your hard work and dedication to your art will make you the next Tyler Perry!

Much love,
Your now #1 fan!
